Buffy’s fluffy brand
Near the end of 2017, Pentagram revealed branding for Buffy, “the world’s most comfortable—and kindest—duvet.” The company looks to disrupt the comforter industry by creating a vegan duvet; made with eucalyptus and “volcanic materials,” the Duffy comforters save 1,000 gallons of water and a dozen geese.
Pentagram’s work—which included “brand identity, positioning, messaging and packaging”—visually mirror the experience of using a Duffy comforter: friendly, cuddly, fluffy, and so on. Using Cooper Black (somewhat ironically set in white), mint green, and cute line drawings, the branding communicates the incomparable feeling of a quiet slumber.
