Sleight of Hand

Jeanne Stegman

The more calligraphy you make, the more you want to be able to do

Jeanne Stegman began studying calligraphy in 2011. She boldly applies her letters, runes and lively markings to all manner of surfaces, creating very personal work.

Once you discover the world of calligraphy, everything about it interests you: ”How is that done?  I would like to be able to do that too.”

Calligraphy is a counterpart to my professional work as compensation so that I can live my creativity. I love to work in my studio, it relaxes me and resolves mental blocks.
